Maureen Ahern’s work with children who have AIDS in South Africa.
Journey, Inc. is a non-profit organization currently working in Kenya with community-based programs emphasizing self-reliance for families and children decimated by AIDS.
“Our vision is to improve the community health and well-being through community driven, self reliant programs. We aim to empower rural women who are the caregivers for orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS. We do this by building their capacities economically and socially as we seek to promote their livelihood strategies.”
